Húsatóftavöllur lies by the main road to Reykjanesvita, west of Grindavík, about 7 km from the Blue Lagoon. The course is 18 holes, five of them are on the banks by the sea, thirteen are north of the main road and stretch nicely into the lava.

The village of Grindavík is one of Iceland's special surprises for tourists. While best known for its world famous Blue Lagoon. Since December 2023, there have been seven eruptions along a crater row north of the town. Before that, there were three eruptions near Fagradalsfjall, east of Grindavík.
